Senior Marketing Strategist
Location: Piscataway, NJ

The Senior Marketing Strategist is a very hands on role, must be creative type thinker, very engaged in the marketing process from a strategic and tactical stand point. The candidate will provide leadership, direction, support and assistance to the organization's external relations department.
  • Oversee the Marketing efforts in writing of media, marketing and public relations materials, as well as rapidly producing various documents positioning the organization for numerous audiences and circumstances.
  • Prior public relations exposure, as well as digital media, social media and overseeing communications efforts for all publicity, promotion, communication.
  • This position will work closely with other members of the senior leadership team to build a strong, proactive external relations office.
  • Manage/work with a small to medium size team that includes professionals in, marketing and communications, and business development. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that proper and punctual communications are addressed. And ensure that all communication tools from newsletters, communication boards, internet and intranet are being used most productively and efficiently.
  • Work to develop monthly reporting mechanisms that capture data related to identified benchmarks, quality improvements progress and operating efficiencies; address deficiencies appropriately with department management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (Marketing/Communications preferred)
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in technology/telecommunications industry including successful communications, branding and marketing, relationship management. Strong management and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills with ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment, partner with internal and other external stakeholders.
  • Solid background and demonstrated understanding of marketing/ communications, development, social marketing, branding and messaging
  • Significant leadership and collaboration skills with proven ability to manage effectively in a high growth, high demand environment
  • Goal oriented and demonstrated skills in planning, project management and implementation
  • Experience in developing and monitoring departmental budgets
  • Highly organized and extremely details oriented with the ability to multi task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
